Todd and Karen Lassiter, co-owners of Shepherd's Way Day School, bring exemplary qualifications and years of experience to their jobs, but it is their enthusiasm, love of children, and determination to make Shepherd's Way the best that it can be that sets them apart from others.

Todd Lassiter is the Business Administrator and assumes the responsibilities directly related to the daily operations of the facility.  These include purchasing, accounting, human resources, marketing, public relations, safety and security.  Todd holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  In addition, Todd has 20 years experience in business administration, purchasing and operations management.

 

Karen Lassiter, co-owner Shepherd's Way Day School

 

 

Karen Lassiter is the Executive Director of the program and concentrates on program standards, state compliance and teacher/parent training.  She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Family Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.  She has previously owned her own five-star rated large home center (which was the first five-star license awarded in Randolph County), and has 20 years of experience in the field of childcare.  Prior to opening Shepherd's Way, she worked as an Early Childhood Specialist at Randolph Community College.

 

 

April Harris, Operations Manager, graduated with honors from Randolph Community College with an Associates degree in Office Systems Technology.  April has been with Shepherd’s Way for the past 7 years and supervises many aspects of our program including program and office management.  She also helps to organize and plan functions and activities for families and staff, and ensures overall quality and state compliance.
