Todd and Karen Lassiter, co-owners of Shepherd's Way Day
School, bring exemplary qualifications and years of experience
to their jobs, but it is their enthusiasm, love of children, and
determination to make Shepherd's Way
the best that it can be that sets them apart from others.
Karen
Lassiter is the Executive Director of the program and concentrates
on program standards, state compliance and teacher/parent
training. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and
Family Science from the University of North Carolina at
Greensboro. She has previously owned her own five-star rated
large home center (which was the first five-star license
awarded in Randolph County), and has 16 years of experience in the field of
childcare. Prior to opening Shepherd's
Way, she worked as an Early Childhood Specialist at
Randolph Community College.
Todd Lassiter is the Business
Administrator and assumes the responsibilities directly related to
the daily operations of the facility. These include purchasing,
accounting, human resources, marketing, public relations, safety and
security. Todd holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management
from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and a Master's
Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in International
Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
In addition, Todd has 15 years experience in business administration,
purchasing and operations management.
This unique
partnership of husband and wife allows each person to concentrate in
their area of expertise in order to accomplish their mutual goal of a
high quality child care program.
